MYPlace
In 2010, the three Churches of Scotland joined together to reach out to the young people of Montrose, employing a part time Youth and Family Worker funded by the Church of Scotland. After some time the team managed to raise further funding to make the job full time. With the recent Presbytery reorganisation, the post is now fully funded by the Church of Scotland.
Shona Barakat ran MYPlace for three years until she moved on to another post recently but now we welcome a new Youth and Family Worker, Claire van Geete who started with us on Monday 13th January. When you see her please give her a big welcome. Claire needs to find her feet before we will know what activities she will run.
Meanwhile, Toddler and Carer playgroups are still running on Mondays in Trinity Ferryden Hall and on Thursdays in Philos Community Hub in Castle Street, in term time. Both run 9.30 - 11.30am. New members most welcome.
Previously:
MYChat'n'Play was a weekly lunchtime event in the playground of one of the Primary schools when Shona got to know the children and vice versa.
Scripture Union's Bible Alive courses have been another success story in two of our Primary schools where Shona and helpers have delivered them as part of the curriculum.
Lego Clubs have run at Philos Hub in school holidays with the help of volunteers.

Lego has such all age appeal that Lego Church has been established for families, running in Trinity Steeple Halls on the first Sunday of each month, 4-5pm, with a bible story, Lego building and a snack.
But adults have been catered for too. Apart from accompanying families to Lego Church, there have been ceramic and cake events for parents, families and friends.

Look at the calendar (via the Activities Page) to see when and where events are taking place. Please come along - families are always welcome.
