Help for Malawi and Seafarers

Edith Fraser

It was a busy day at our Craft 'n Cafe last Friday. Baby jackets, teddies, crocheted blankets along with cakes of soap were packed up into banana boxes, They will make their way to the hospital in Ekwendeni via the Banana Box Trust where new mothers will be thrilled to receive them.

Joanne, Janice, Jean and Megan helped to get everything ready.

Eli and Mike also visited us on Friday to pick up bags of knitted goods for seafarers on visiting ships - balaclavas, beanie hats, gloves and scarves which had been prolifically knitted and donated by some of our ladies.

Many many thanks to everyone who made all these goods for people they will never know. - a real example of "loving our neighbour".

Have you ever thought of coming along to Craft 'n Cafe? Fridays, 2 - 4pm, in Trinity Ferryden Hall. You don't have to be a keen crafter. Some play board games while others just like to sit and chat with friends. You are Welcome!
