There are three events which involve all our hubs this weekend.
A Concert of Prayer, takes place in Montrose Trinity Church @ Ferryden, Church Road, at 10.30am on Saturday 11th November when the theme will be Remembrance. The prayer times will concentrate on our community and the problems of our troubled world. Throughout, appropriate hymns will be sung. At 11am there will be a 2 minute silence. This would seem a very suitable day to hold such an event. If you haven't attended a Concert of Prayer before there is a warm invitation to come along.
After some refreshments, why not move into town for the next event at the Montrose Christmas Lights Switch On which runs from noon till 7pm. In the church gazebo you will find a reminder of the real meaning of Christmas created by Pete Cowan and throughout the 7 hours there will be activities for children and information for all. Please encourage the team of helpers by visiting the display and by inviting friends and family to go along.
Then on Sunday 12th all three hubs will come together in Montrose Trinity Church @ the Steeple for the Armistice Service. People are requested to be seated by 10.45am. There are no services in either Hillside or Ferryden. The joint service will be led by Rev Ian Gray.
